A Fishing Tale

We offer privately chartered or shared fishing adventures on rivers, bays, nearshore, and offshore. The species vary depending on time of year and weather conditions. You are sure to make wonderful memories and if conditions are right, you’ll probably take home dinner!

Other adventures include sightseeing trips off the coast of Bodega and the San Francisco Bay or book a trip down the Petaluma River to have lunch at one of the numerous waterfront restaurants around the San Francisco Bay area. 

All ages and all experience levels are welcome.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 2017, 27’ North River Seahawk Offshore model. The cabin is equipped with a dining table, separate head (bathroom) and the latest Simrad and Lowrance electronics that include dual band fish finders, advanced chart plotter, side scan sonar and SimRad 4G radar. The boat is powered by twin 200 Yamaha outboard motors and a separate 9.9 hp trolling motor to get to our favorite fishing spot quickly.

The boat is equipped with several fish boxes, wash down and a 90 gallon bait tank. We have electric Scotty downriggers for trolling and a top of the line crabpot puller to bring those tasty crabs up from the depths.

Your captain and boat owner is John Buergler. Captain Johnny B has been operating boats for several years. He is first-aid and CPR certified and a licensed US Coast Guard Captain, holding a Master 100 ton license.  Prior to becoming a USCG Captain, he completed numerous hours of training taught by the California Department of Boating and Waterways. He is a member of the California Boating Safety Officers Association. As part of the public safety sector, he has operated a variety of vessels on several diverse waterways.
 

Growing up in Sonoma County, Johnny has fished the coast of Bodega on a regular basis. His love for fishing halibut and sturgeon/striper has expanded his fishing knowledge to the Suisun, San Pablo and San Francisco Bays in search of the best fishing areas.
